The FlashForge Creator Pro has several advanced features that help set it apart from other competing 3D printers. It’s extremely popular at the moment and is one of the highest rated models among consumers. There are also some nice improvements over the original wooden Creator version, like that it’s up to 60% faster, you can read about the previous machine here.
I’ll provide as much detailed information as I can for you in this article. There are a lot of different models to choose from and it can be difficult to know which features are the most important. The prices and availability can change somewhat frequently so give the link below a visit to view what’s being offered. I’d recommend adding the item to your cart to see a total price at the very least! You don’t want to leave the site without viewing this newest Amazon deal!
This is a dual filament printer, which means you can easily create 3D objects that are made up of two colors instead of only one. It offers a pretty nice advantage over single filament printers and allows you to create more visually appealing objects. When you buy this model you’ll receive two spools of filament weighing 2.2lbs each. Unfortunately, you don’t get to choose which color or material you want and they’ll instead be randomly selected.
You have the option of connecting the 3D printer via a USB cable to your computer or transferring your creations onto the included 4GB SD card. The latter option allows you to print without the need of having a computer connected, which I recommend since the machine might be running for a few hours while building complex objects. There are a basic LCD screen and buttons located on the front you can use to control the functionality. The SD card does come loaded with the system software and prebuilt models you can use.
Build Area: 8.9″ x 5.7″ x 5.9″
Adjustable between 100 -> 300 micron printing
Supports Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux
Software: ReplicatorG, MakerWare
Works well with 1.75 mm ABS and PLA
Supports STL,.x3g, and gcode format
Capable of operating without a computer
One of the fastest printing speeds – 24ml/h
The overall construction of the machine is extremely solid, more than the wooden frame found on the original Creator. The actual build area is made out of aviation grade aluminum and has a thickness of 6.3mm. That’s to ensure the plate stays level and doesn’t warp during the heating process. There’s also a 10mm thick guide rod for the Z-axis movement, this helps everything runs smoothly and prevents the platform arm from deforming.
You’ll have about 5 liters of build volume space available for your creations. The specific area is 225 x 145 x 150mm. If your design is bigger than that you can use the included software to scale it down or break the model up into smaller modular parts. That seems to be what most people do if they want to build something beyond the size limitations.
If this is your first 3D printer be aware that there is a little bit of a learning curve with the computer software. It’s easy enough to make simple objects but once you start getting into more complex designs you’ll need to think about things like structural support. If you’ve already used other 3D modeling software I don’t think you’ll have too much trouble figuring this program out. If you’re into technical stuff you’ll probably enjoy the learning process. I should also mention that you can download other people’s creations and share your own online!

This is easily one of the best 3D printers available on the market today. You can see from the many reviews online that people love this model. It’s definitely one of the top machines I’d recommend, especially if you have the money and want something that’s going to work well. This can accept both ABS and PLA filaments unlike some other brands so you have more options available when shopping for filaments as well.
The 3D printer community is continuously growing with more consumers every week. You can find many websites that offer free 3D models to download and use with your own printer. Many people get featured for coming up with a great design idea on those sites. What can you come up with?
